Old, cautiously optimistic bookmark

Here's another cool bookmark find, an old souvenir from Portland ME with a cautiously optimistic message. Wonder when it's from?  Most of my bookmarks come from between the pages of books that wander into my shop, but this one I found at a local outdoor flea market, down in Arundel on Route 1.

  1. "Cautiously optimistic"--I love it. I worked for a company named "Measured Progress." It always put me in mind of "Well, he's not out of the woods yet, but he's making Measured Progress." I once made up some fake letterhead that said, "Measured Progress. We're almost there." and "Measured Progress. You can't say we're not trying."

See you soon. tapu (Think: Kathleen, Asa, you know...)

  2. I have a large collection of promotional bookmarks from over the years. This reminds me I need to frame it some time.
